this is a book by pia jane bijkerk that falls away from the usual tourist side of paris and explores the backstreets and alleyways in which traditional artisans create inspirational works. not only is it a stunning book, what i find most interesting is that each chapter is a 'wander' leading the reader away from the metro, from handmade studio to boutique and back again. buy it in sydney from kinokuniya in galleries victoria.
