Magophilia due. Russh.

I decided to praise Russh and Franke first because they are my two greatest loves. Even when I first moved to Sydney at the start of this year with no money, and no job I still managed to fork out for these two. Though as unfortunate as it is, they come out on the same day bimonthly. I guess Russh is sorta the 'edgier' one, but there is still a lot of pastel and sweetness to be found. I decided, months ago, I want to be Stevie Dance (Fashion Editor) when I grow up. I'd say she is responsible for the most amazing editorials in Australia, hands down. I don't know how, but the Russh team always manage to get the coolest collection of clothes and accessories ever, mixing mid range and high end labels. Always nice to see something you can nearly afford.
Although the magazine has copped a little bad publicity recently due to portraying models at their very thinnest, I don't find it too hard to turn a blind eye. I don't think they are really advocating heroin chic, perhaps just trying to project an image that a lot of people are uncomfortable with. Or something. That aside, what draws me most to this publication? Nudity and music references. There is alot of nudity, or rather, exposed breasts in this magazine which gives it an all the more arty aesthetic. Feels like it's a little more precious than a simple magazine. The music references - Stones, Beatles, Faithfull, Patti Smith, Bat for Lashes... it goes on. Plus, they did a look page on Hunter S. Thompson. Need I say another word?
