Weapon of Choice.

Eating too many clinkers. Trying to put off doing my washing. Which would not be a task at all if i had an actual washing machine. But anyway. All these shapes are so great. So complex to do by hand but I'd really like to try some day. I'm up to shaping my first ring now. Very exciting. So this is just ambitious aspiration really. We all like to dream...

This Charming Man.

This Charming Man is Edward Janssen. His creations are pretty cool aesthetically speaking. The thing that kills me though, is the fact that the rings and necklaces double as wax seals. My god, how romantic. The perfect gift for the morbid novelist. Edgar Allen Poe indeed. He's hinting at the old nature vs machine conundrum yet I think their duality hints at a little playful tounge in cheek humour, don't you think?

Love Letters.

Andy Lifschutz is a jewellery designer from Portland. His new collection is based on love letters.

Exploring the connection all lovers, past, present and future have on our lives and creativity, the pieces are made from found items spanning a 20 year period and like most artisans, he is a bowerbird of sorts, collecting and rummaging through second hand stores, markets and rubbish to find something that resonates with him. Love Love Love.

Dripping in Jewels.

Some verrry fine inspirational peices. I am especially diggin' anything the gorgeous deadly ponies of NZ churn out, leather bags and jewels alike. Talons and wishbones. So perfect. Scouring the internet at present for all forms of moulded metals, twisted chains, out of place precious stones etc. But more on the reason for that later. There were indeed many more items to be posted here, but lets not let them all go at once hey? Savies for laterz. Who has some more to share? Loving anything medieval inspired or morose. Or overloaded with cheap rhinestones. Yeah!
