my head explodes and my body aches.

A flash in the pan
A storm in a teacup
A needle in a haystack
A prize for the winning
A dead for the raising
A catch for the chasing
A jewel for the choosing
A man for the making in this blistering heat

So a hammering in my head don't stop in the bullet train from Tokyo to Los Angeles

Magophilia numero tre. Lula.

Oh how I adore Lula. Do you know her? She is fabulous and inspiring. Soft spoken and well dressed, with a hint of rebellion under her ruffled dress, she is a lovley friend.
I could flower on with such descriptions forever, but in short, Lula is an amazing publication. Collecting devoted fans from about the universe, once you fall in love, thats it really. Unfortunatley, living in isolation, as us Australians do, it is often not the cheapest on the shelf. Current issues are usually priced at around $30, but even those who don't hoard every magazine they buy (like me) will hold on it her delicate body for years. The writing is lyrical, the editorials are gorgeous, flattering and other worldly. Often a hint of prose and art, its well worth having $2 til next wednesday just to own it.

I have chosen one of my favourite shoots from the magazine. Bat for Lashes. I love how girls in music dress. Especially Natasha Khan who somehow manages to make glitter and tribal jewellery look like they belong only together. Her music is the stuff of dreams too.
