fuck it, its friday.

bath-houses and proposed apartments in Japan. Interactive. Sentimental. Mental. Pair with a multi-coloured manicure and a polka dot CdG dress. Breathe.

Pink Plastic Jesus.

Don't have time to post. Bad instant coffee. New media - burning brain. Waiting for confirmation. Need to get out. Too many Kanji. Work. Matches and Cardigans from W&DB. Thigh high socks. Ankle stockings. Ramen. Leopard print. Too. Much. Clutter. Cockroaches. Crave clean, crave white, crave peace. Restoring faith in females.

New stationary. More coffee. More tea. Yellow teeth. Goodbye windows. Hello Japan? Soon. Another tired afternoon. Fresh fruit. Days lose their warmth. The next instalment. <3

Images are from Knighttcat's amazing inspiration post. Genius.

I hate the real estate.

Real estate agents are real people. I've been told. Unfortunately, the type I have come across have more resembled the 'inklings' from Murakami's Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World than actual humans. I won't go into it but basically, I think they're shit. No offence if you are one. I'm sure you're the endangered 'nice' species. One day, as far away as it may be, I hope to own a living space and hopefully sever the bitches from my life once and for all. If I were to own such a space (and have like, several zillions of dollars lying around.) I would deck it out in Rick Owens furniture and forever feel as if I Am The Shit. Wallpaper magazine calls it 'functional poetry.' I call it 'fucking awesome.'

she was a manic depressive. which was impressive.

Not to sound like a cynic, but every time I come back home I am disappointed. In some way or another. The water wasn't as warm as it used to be. The nights aren't as long or as devious. Unsure if its just a case of the grass is always greener or everything is better in memory but whatever. Figures my time is better off spent mothering my neglected blog than yawning in the newly renovated sleazy pub, waiting for something to happen. Thats the problem with going home. You expect everything to change and it doesn't. You feel disconnected. Then it does change. And its like, fuck. I am not this person anymore. BUT WHATEVER. I don't know how these pictures are relevant but I enjoy them. They are from the Selby, of course, and honestly, I just like to look at them.

where do you go to my lovely.

How pretty are these images from www.polkadots-vodkashots.blogspot.com? How I love interiors. I think my room is due for a little change around. It's just kinda uninspiring when I know I'll be moving again in a month or so. There are lots of changes in the works at the moment. finishing my first year uni, starting two new jobs and a silversmith course. I'm excited, but kinda overwhelmed. I've also finished my first zine. Yay! I'll do some scans and post soon.

Inside the home of a Japanese DJ.

Its Friday! Hurray! Good things tend to happen on fridays. Like today, although it is blustery and freezing I did not get rained on once. I found everything I was looking for in the asian supermarket after work. Then I went to the newsagent hoping for something nice to read and there were just too many to choose from. They even had Lula. But the cover was ripped so I just couldn't do it. If its one thing I can't stand, it's magazine cruelty.

And if thats not enough... The Selby went to Japan! Go check it out. Only two sets of shots are up, which at first saddened me until I realised it is because he is releasing a book next March. Yaaaay. Just in time for my birthday. (hint hiiiiint) hehe. I love the Tokyo house of Dj Maar (of Japanese duo Dexpistols) and Mayu Kondo - an art director and designer. Its so Japanese. A contradiction of traditional and uber modern. My favourite.

cream.

So totally in love with this blog. I stumbled apon her a mere hour ago and she is already close to my heart. Eat Drink Chic houses "stylish ideas and diy for parties, entertaining, weddings, home decor, gifts, food and fashion." Its a little bit Lula magazine, with so many balloons, sugary treats and pastels. Swoon. I am particularly impressed with idea for an ice cream sundae party. I'm a sucker for party themes, food and decoration, yes but this is waaay above sangria, sweets and the deathproof soundtrack. Can you imagine walking into a room set up like this? I think I would faint, or leave, buy some Alannah Hill attire and rush back in a fluster looking the part. Eeep.

Daydreaming

I want to decorate. It's a pity that renting stops one from total transformation, like painting the front door purple, but with a little inspiration from the internet and Sofia Coppola films in combination with some blank pillow cases and thread could maybe lead to a teensy reinvention.

lover the house.

Just sitting on the day bed at my parents house on the south coast, taking full advantage of unlimited internet downloads, a huge pile of house magazines and a cute new macbook. Sometimes its nice to be a hermit, eat some good food and just forget about all those annoying responsibilities back home. I also find it enjoyable to peer into other peoples abodes, and this is why I am a the selby addict. The designers behind the brand Lover live here, and I think its kinda perfect.
